i'm a big fan of helen dardik's work, as i'm sure many of you are, but i just realized that i've somehow never posted about her here...

she never ceases to thrill.

feeling oh so productive

& a bit like wonder woman
isn't this the most amazing sweater you've ever seen?!

This morning I:
did the dishes
cleaned the rat cage
vacuumed
took out the trash
cleaned up the living room
found my nice pants for tomorrow's festivities
cleaned the bath room
& changed a flat tire
(yes, I am just lucky enough to get a flat while my car is dead)
...all before 10 o'clock!

I am so ready for Thanksgiving! Hope you are, too!
Have a fantastic day & weekend. See you all next week!

the break down

if my car looked half so stylish as this wagon, i wouldn't be nearly as bummed with its broken down state. i'll be attempting to push start it this afternoon...wish me luck!

the cupcake soiree

a day filled with giggles, cupcakes, and other sweet goodies!

My last post reminded me that I forgot to mention a fabulous party I had the privelage to attend last weekend. Kaylen, of Happy Notions, held her 2nd Anuual Cupcake Soiree on Saturday & it was divine. Boy does that girl make one killer pumpkin cupcake! Ugh, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Thanks, Kay! We had a fabulous time!

lindsay brackeen

I know I've posted about Lindsay Brackeen once before...but she's got so many lovely new prints in her shop that I couldn't help but share again.

This one makes my heart flutter. Starry Night is my absolute favorite painting (cliche, I know, but I just can't help myself). I've already passed on the word that I would love this print for Christmas...so if you buy it first, I certainly hope she adds another to the shop & quick!

top 5: favorite beatles songs

image via

A while back, Cindy of quaint handmade asked me to share my favorite Beatles songs after I hinted at my fanaticism. It has really taken me this long to narrow it down & I'm still not entirely comfortable with the list...
I'm including this as a Top 5 post, but I'll go ahead & give you the top ten since that was the original request!

6 - I've Just Seen a Face...
(haven't seen Across the Universe? watch to this!)

4 - Happiness is a Warm Gun...
(link is to the Joe Anderson version, ah-mazing)

3 - Rocky Raccoon
2 - Two of Us
1 - Here Comes the Sun

I'm only absolutely certain about the #1 & 2 spots. I would like Here Comes the Sun played at my funeral...it literally gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. & Two of Us is just so carefree & quirky & perfect. I love all of the rest, but their spots in line change with the season...in fact, I rearranged them so many times while writing this list, I wouldn't have the slightest idea of what I put where unless I went back to look. Also, please let it be known that there were so so many that just barely missed the cut.

Which are your favorites? Or are you not a Bealtes fan at all?

i just want this so bad. is it Christmas yet?

oh! wait...St. Nick's Day is sooner!
